HEARING AIDS-COSTING LESS TRUMPS PROFESSIONAL IMAGE-HOW MUCH DO THEY COST? THATS ALL I WANT TO KNOW,

Yesterday, I wrote about the Wife of an existing Client of mine, who called me, and all she wanted to know, is how much a particular brand of Hearing Aids would cost from me.
She obviously regards Hearing Aids as a Commodity.
Meaning that she thinks the purchase of Hearing Aids is identical to buy a HP Printer from COSTCO or SAMS CLUB.
In other words, who has the best price.
My understanding is that she is a Psychotherapist. Whatever that is.
I would like to call her and ask her what her fees are, and if she attempted to explain anything other than her fees were, such as qualifications or experience of the Provider, I would declare: Just tell me what your fee rate is. Thats all I want to know.
I decided that I didn't want her as a Client.
Out of respect for her Husband, who is a long-time Client of mine, I felt I owed her a return call.
I called the Manufacturer, at her request, and asked them what my cost would be for the Model of Hearing Aid she requested.
I added a $500 Fee to my cost of the Product, and I quoted her a price of $1995 for each hearing aid.
She thanked me for my effort and told me she would get back to me.
Her Husband came into my office yesterday and told me that our Quote was $1500 dollars less than the ENT Office where she was quoted a price that included a "Professional Discount".
I don't know whether our Quote was $1500 less per Hearing Aid, or $1500 for the Pair of Hearing Aids.
I suppose I'll find out when she visits my office.
What the last sentence implys is that she had decided to buy the Hearing Aids from me.
I am looking forward to meeting this Lady.
I will conduct myself as a Professional and dot the i and cross the t.
I will treat her as though she is buying a commodity.
My 25 years experience, evidently means nothing to her.
Experience, compassion, empathy,communication skills, sincerity, knowledge, dedication, etc, means nothing to her.
I wonder why she thinks her husband suggested she call me.
Is it all about Price?
